Redeemer Gift Shop Volunteer Sign-Up

We would love for you to spread the hope of Jesus to shoppers and their families during our upcoming Redeemer Gift Shop? Here are the two different roles that need to be filled:
The Gift Wrapper
- Wrap the gifts
- Share your smile and warmth
- Share God's love
Gift Wrappers typically share a six-foot table with one or two other wrappers, making their table a Gift Wrap Station. As you can imagine, it's a fast-paced job that includes selecting the best paper for the gift, and then skillfully wrapping and taping the pieces as neatly and beautifully as possible. This can be a challenge, especially when the gift chosen is an odd size or shape. Fear not, however, as you'll be part of a team tasked with making this as FUN as possible!
Job of Personal Assistant/Prayer Partner
- Greet and connect with the shopping family
- Carry the gifts they've chosen to the Gift Wrap Station
- Walk with the family out to their vehicle
- Pray over the family
As a Personal Assistant/Prayer Partner, you will greet the family shoppers who are next in line, guide them through the tables piled with gifts, help them make appropriate selections, walk with them and their gift choices to the gift wrapping stations, patiently wait with them while their gifts are being wrapped, and then walk with them and their armful of gifts to the car for the all-important opportunity of praying over the family. If you have a younger child (minimum 3rd grade and up) eager to take on this task, then consider partnering up as a team.
Gift Table Advisor
The room will be arranged by age range. In other words, groups of tables will be loaded with gifts for boys and girls ages 2-4, 5-7, 8-9 and 10-11 years. Each advisor will oversee the table of gifts for an age range. Also, we have many gift items that were donated in quantities of 2 or more, so that Advisor will be asked to manage those quantities. That means that 4 of the 5 Nerf Blasters, for example, will be out of view behind the table so that a single family doesn't buy all 5 at once! As soon as that family moves on, the Advisor can refresh the table with another Nerf Blaster. Helping families make decisions about gifts is not always a simple process, but we offer what we can so that they can make the best decision based on their needs.
