When God created Adam and Eve, He entrusted them with a huge estateโthe whole earth. They were to fill it with inhabitants, manage and cultivate it, and enjoy its fruits. Even before they became aware of their needs, God had already informed them that His provision was in place. This week, we will look at the nature of Godโs provision and what it means for us today.ย

From the beginning, God entrusted man with the responsibility of taking care of His creation. When God gave Adam and Eve the charge to ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ over every living thing, it was a blessingโnot a burden or job description. His purpose was to bless them. This is true for us today. God has a specific purpose for each of us. We donโt go to work just to get our job done. We work to fulfill Godโs purpose for us. Knowing that your work is a blessing from God and is meant to fulfill His purpose for your life, how does this change your attitude towards it?

Before God created Adam and Eve, He first created everything they would need to live. He had already provided what they would need ahead of time. The truth is, God provides everything we will ever need to accomplish His purpose. This is something we, as Christians, need to fully grasp. We sometimes forget that God is our provider. We may put our trust in our jobs or in something or someone else, and when that is shaken, we may lose our hope and question our faith. But as this passage tells us, we can be confident in Godโs provision. He knows what we need. What does Philippians 4:19 say about Godโs provision?ย

God assured Adam and Eve that His provision was already there even before they asked for it. If He provided in the beginning, He is able to provide at all times, and until the end of time. Genesis 1:12 tells us that God filled the earth with ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ด ๐บ๐ช๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ค๐ค๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ช๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฏ ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ง๐ณ๐ถ๐ช๐ต ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ช๐ค๐ฉ ๐ช๐ด ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ช๐ณ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ, ๐ฆ๐ข๐ค๐ฉ ๐ข๐ค๐ค๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ช๐ต๐ด ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ. Godโs provision was not just for their current need but for their future need, and not just for them but for all earthโs inhabitants, which He told them to produce.
