OUTLAST: KENAI
2 Days. 2 Nights. 4 Teams. Think Survivor meets Alone.
Outlast is a 2-night outdoor adventure challenge designed to test teamwork, leadership, resilience, and problem-solving in the Alaskan outdoors.
What to Expect:
- 2 nights camping outdoors
- Minimal food and limited comforts
- Physical and mental challenges
- Team-based competition
- Shelter building
- Fire building
- Navigation and survival scenarios
- Sleep disruption and night watch duties
- Cold, wet, and unpredictable weather
- Moments of frustration, discomfort, and perseverance
Students, under the supervision of an Adult, will work together to complete challenges, earn resources, protect their camp, and outlast the other teams. This is not a luxury camping trip. Participants should expect to be pushed outside their comfort zone and challenged mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Who Can Participate:
Grades 8–12: Open registration
Grade 7: Parent approval required
Grade 6: Not this time...
Difficulty Level:
Difficult
Students may experience hunger, fatigue, cold temperatures, getting turned around during navigation exercises, and moments where they want to quit. The goal isn't simply to survive, it's to discover what they're capable of when things get hard.
The Question Is Simple:
How long will you last?
