The focus of this retreat is focused on exploring and experiencing prayer. Many at Awaken are amidst deconstruction/reconstruction of their Christian faith. Some of the spiritual disciplines we learned in the past might feel complicated now, and it can be difficult to know how or if we can engage them. At this retreat all of you and your experience belongs. What you carry from the past and where you are at present. 

Three different prayer practices will be introduced and then you will have time to explore if and how they might work for you. You will not be asked to pray out loud, you will not be shamed if you don't have a committed quiet time every day, but you can come as you are with a curiosity and desire to connect with God.

The facilitating team of spiritual directors are Cathy Solomon, Julia Holtze, and Michele Dunbar. This one-day retreat is being held at Christos Center in Lino Lakes. Lunch is included in the $35 registration fee. Contact Cathy with questions.
