In partnership with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, we will host a food truck run once a month on Tuesdays. The goal of each truck run is to connect human-to-human, heart-to-heart with our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Each truck run will be split into two shifts:
Make Ready Shift | 5:30 - 7:00 PM
The make ready shift involves preparing sandwiches and other meal items and loading trucks with food, clothing, and other toiletries that will be distributed.
Truck Run Shift | 7:00-8:30 PM
The truck run shift involves visiting 1-3 scheduled locations of Section 8 / supportive housing, homeless encampments, or homeless resource centers and handing out food and other goods while visiting with those they serve. Once back at the Village, volunteers will empty and quickly clean out the truck.
Note: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for either shift.

En colaboración con Mobile Loaves & Fishes, seremos anfitriones de un recorrido de gastroneta (camión de alimentos) una vez al mes los martes. El objetivo de este recorrido es de poder tener oportunidades de conexión personal con nuestros vecinos viviendo sinhogarismo. Cada recorrido se dividirá en dos turnos:
Turno de Preparación | 5:30 - 7:00 PM
El turno de preparación consiste en hacer sanduches y otras comidas, y pasarlos a las gastronetas. Otros productos de higiene y artículos de ropa también se pasaran a los camiones para ser distribuidos.
Turno de Distribución | 7:00 - 8:30 PM
El turno de distribución consiste en visitar 1-3 localidades programadas, que incluyen viviendas de Sección 8 / viviendas de apoyo, campamentos de personas sin hogar o centros de recursos para sinhogarismo, y repartir alimentos u otros bienes mientras se conversa con la comunidad que serviremos. Para terminar el turno, los voluntarios ayudan a limiar el camion.
Nota: Voluntarios menores de 18 años son bienvenidos, pero deben estar acompañados por un adulto en cualquiera de los dos turnos.
