Genesis 14

In Chapter 14, Lot pitched his tents near Sodom upon arrival. We are given an account of the first war. The kings of corresponding cities on the plain of Jordan were invaded by four other Kings: Shinar, Ellasar, Elam, and King Tidal. This resulted in a revolution. The Kings served Chedorlaomer for 12 years before rebelling in the 13th year. King Chedorlaomer sought a victory. All the kings were invading from Mesopotamia.

Genesis 1

Genesis 1 consists of 31 verses and provides an overview of how the world was created in 6 days. The text describes how the Lord spoke all things into being except humankind, whom He created in his image.

Genesis 2

Chapter 2 describes the time and way the heavens and Earth were created; ultimately on the seventh day God rested. The Protestant and Catholic Churches now designate Sunday as their seventh day, and this is the day of rest. Chapter 2 describes to us that God blessed this day.

Genesis 3

Genesis 3 contains 24 verses which depict the fall of man and their exile from the Garden of Eden.
