The Hard Work of Becoming Spiritually, Emotionally and Physically Healthy
The Power of God to Work Hard

Our understanding of hard work is critical for our life. We often feel like we are living in third gear day
and night, we get up early, go to work, come home get on the internet and social media, and retire to bed
exhausted. What we must not do is mistake activity for productivity. Growing weary from entertainment
is a much different thing than the weariness that comes from hard work. Many people confuse the two,
and I know that I have.

We can actually be exhausted day to day by going nowhere. We need to define hard work and understand
its’ benefits. So that our lives are wasted away on pleasure without a focus on God. Now, this does not mean
we should never enjoy ourselves or relax. In fact, when we cease fruitless activity that drains us of life, we
will find ourselves more rested and efficient when we work. We get more done and have time for
important relaxation that is productive like times with friends and family.

Romans 12:11
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
The Power of God to Work Hard

When we walk with God in life, then his energy works through us. God enjoys working his energy and
power in us as we do our work (Ephesians 1:19, Ephesians 3:20, Ephesians 4:16). Rather than become
engulfed in the tedious boredom of work, or in staggering weariness, remember and visualize you are not
working alone; God is working in and through you to His glory and will develop in you a hardworking
spirit.

Triple D: Are you exhausted? And if so is it for the right reasons? Explore your business and consider
how much of it is productive work or is the majority of it more of activity that brings about nothing of
value.
