We are heading out to serve at the Rock ministry in Kensington, PA. on August 20-23. The Rock is a ministry our of Calvary Chapel of Kensington that ministers to one of the poorest neighborhoods in the nation, with high rates of homelessness, fatherless homes, drug addiction and hopelessness. The area around the church comprise one of the most active drug areas in the country. All this means they are surrounded with nearly endless ministry opportunities! We will have opportunities to so street outreach and evangelism, host children's activities in the neighborhood and with the Rock's youth ministry, practical things like helping with facility maintenance and more. The cost is $100 per person for meals while at the ministry (plus spending money).
