“Divisions within the church breed atheism in the world.” This quote from the English pastor, Thomas Manton in the 1600’s is so fitting with Christ’s High Priestly prayer in John 17. We’re going to take a break from Exodus and consider a section of Jesus’s passionate prayer for His people. He literally prayed this prayer 2,000 years ago and yet, it is a prayer that is as relevant now as it has ever been. We’ll see that Jesus had us on His mind, unity on His lips, and more in His sights for the glory of God.
