We have come to “Resurrection Sunday” which is the most important day on the calendar ( 1 Corinthians 15:12-19). In today’s message, I would like for us to worship together around the text in John 11 which deals with the raising of Lazarus. The text reveals that this miracle was the “last straw” for the Jewish leaders and had in fact put Jesus in the situation which led to Good Friday.

We are not going to read every verse in this text publically today, and we are not going to exposit ever verse. What we want to do is look at the prophetic nature of the passage as it points beyond the raising of Lazarus to Jesus’ own crucifixion and resurrection.
