CROP Walk

May 18

May 18, 2025
1:00 - 2:00pm

Springtime is a time for growing, caring for those in need, and of course walking to help end world hunger. The 50th Bay Area Annual CROP Walk is Sunday, May 18, hosted by Almaden Hills UMC (yes, Mariellen's church). The Walk starts at 1:00 (check in is12:30). AHUMC is located at 1200 Blossom Hill Road two blocks west of Almaden Expressway just past O' Reilley's Auto Parts.

Church World Service is a non-denominational international relief organization to aid areas devastated by war, famine, and disease. You can help by signing up to walk one or three miles to and around beautiful Almaden Lake or by signing up as a sponsor of any amount.

Where does the money go? CWS receives 75% while 25% is divided among local food and shelter programs namely, Second Harvest Food Bank, Sacred Heart Community Services, and Martha's Kitchen. Make checks payable to CWS with Wesley UMC on memo line for church credit.

Please visit the Missions' CROP Walk tables April 27 and May 4 to sign up and answer your questions. This is a great opportunity for church friends, families, and Sunday School classes to put their faith into action. No prizes but free root beer floats, refreshments and the great feeling of saving a life.

Thank you
