Day 23: When the Past Meets the Present

In Genesis 42-43,Joseph comes face to face with his brothers, the same ones who betrayed him and sold him into slavery. It had been years, butGod’s plan was unfolding in a way they never expected. While his brothers were weighed down by guilt and fear, Joseph could see thatGod had been working all along.

Sometimes in life, we encountersituations or people from our past that bring up old wounds.But like Joseph, we can choose tosee God's purpose in it all.His hardships prepared him for leadership, andeven the betrayal he experienced was part of God’s greater plan to save many lives.

As moms, there may be things from our past—mistakes, broken relationships, or difficult seasons—that we struggle to understand.But God is a Redeemer.Just as He worked in Joseph’s story,He is working in yours too.Trust thatnothing is wastedin God’s hands.

✨ Is there a past hurt that God is calling you to release or see through His perspective?

✨ How have you seen God use painful situations for good in your life?

✨ In what ways can you trust God's purpose in your current season?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for reminding me that You work all things together for good. Help me to trust Your purpose, even when I don’t understand. Give me the grace to let go of past hurts and to see Your hand at work in every season of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
