Work on Wilmington

Grace Baptist Church, let's serve our community on April 26! We will be given a project in the City of Wilmington from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. Let's show our community that Grace cares! Sign up and bring your family!

Project Description:

In front of the building students wait before and after school. The area is very plain and has no sitting areas for students. We are going to build a few picnic tables for students to sit at while they wait. This would also allow an outside classroom space for students to learn in a different environment. We are also going to put in some mulch, flowers and possibly pavers to beautify the area and make it enticing for students and an area they can be proud of. This project will not only beautify the entrance of the school, which would be more welcoming for our families and community visitors, it would give the students another area to complete lessons in. This will add to higher self-worth for students and pride in the school. It will also open opportunities for students to have lessons based on nature and the environment since there will be a location for students to interact and be in a different learning environment.

When:  Saturday, April 26th 8am-Noon

Listed below are the tools needed. If you are able to bring any of the following tools, to use for the day, please respond to this email with the type of tool and quantity:

2 Wheelbarrows 

3 Yard rakes for mulch

4 shovels for holes to plant flowers and bushes

3  Battery powered drills/screwdrivers for making the picnic tables
