Becoming One With The Word by Minister Chequita Walker

Becoming one with the Word is foundational. The foundation of our faith is crucial because it serves as the base upon which we are continuously growing in obedience to the Word. Having a solid foundation built upon a thorough understanding of the Word, along with obedience, takes one from faith to faith: from babes drinking the milk of the Word, to maturity, being able to fully digest the meat of the Word. The Principle of becoming one with the Word also entails the Body of Messiah becoming one. However, before we as Believers can become one with each other, we must first become one with the Word.

According to Google, there are approximately 4,200 religions around the world. And if so, then imagine how many false gods there are that people are worshipping. Some religions proclaim their allegiance to one or more deities! When taking the Gospel of the Kingdom to the nations, what is it that separates our Message from all of the other religious messages? What is it going to take for the lies to be exposed and for the Truth to be on full display?

Prior to Yeshua Messiah being manifested in the flesh and becoming the perfect sin offering, YeHoVaH’s people offered Burnt Offerings to atone for their sins. This was done to show appreciation to YeHoVaH and to appease Him, whose wrath they feared. Burnt Offerings, when done in obedience to Father’s Commandments, were a sweet-smelling fragrance to YeHoVaH our Elohim. It wasn’t just the act of the Burnt Offering or the actual smell of the Sacrifice itself, it was obedience to Father’s Commands. This was the act of love for Father and repentance for wrongdoings represented in the Burnt Offerings. Although the Burnt Offerings were done according to the Law, and a sweet-smelling fragrance to YeHoVaH, the same Sacrifices repeated year after year could never make one perfect. This teaching will address that even though we are no longer required to offer Burnt Offerings to atone for our sins, because Yeshua Messiah became the Sacrifice once and for all, YeHoVaH still requires His people to live a holy life, set apart, free of sin, and in obedience to all that He has commanded. This is an act or test of our faith which is like unto a sweet-smelling aroma that will reach the very Throne Room of Heaven. In preparation for the teaching, How do you smell?, please read Hebrews 10:1-39.
