Kingdom Eviction

October 30, 2021 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 21:33–46

Yeshua’s interactions with His disciples, discourses with the Chief Priests and the elders of the people, and the parable of the man and his sons revealed some powerful and dynamic lessons on faith, fear, and the way of righteousness taught by Messiah Yeshua. Yeshua revealed that the Kingdom He came to bring was first offered to the Children of Israel, YeHoVaH’s firstborn, but was inclusive of all people who submitted themselves in service to YeHoVaH. According to Yeshua’s references to certain prophecies, all persons, including the eunuchs and strangers, had a part in the Kingdom.

Yeshua’s lessons on faith, in reference to the fig tree, His challenge to the Chief Priests and the elders of the people about the baptism of the prophet John, and their rejection of His teaching, leads Yeshua to share a parable about a landowner and his tenants. In this teaching, Yeshua warns, the Chief Priests and the Pharisees in a parable directed at them and others, about what would happen to those who refused to recognize YeHoVaH’s ownership of His creation and their role in His Kingdom.

In preparation for this teaching, Kingdom Eviction, please read Matthew 21:33-46.

Disciple the Nations

March 5, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 28:11–20

The sins of the world made it impossible for there to be righteous fellowship between YeHoVaH and His creation. Redemption was about much more than simply saving man from his sins. Mankind had lost its way with no hope and no way to return to YeHoVaH in righteousness and fellowship with the Creator. YeHoVaH’s plan to redeem man and His creation providing a pathway back to Him had been put in play after the fall of man in the garden and materialized at the cross with Yeshua’s sacrifice for the sins of the world. In the final Chapter of Matthew’s Gospel, all seemed to be lost as Yeshua’s disciples, who had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel, returned to normal life in despair and unbelief of what Yeshua had taught them about what would happen three days after His death. Yeshua’s resurrected Life was committed to empowering His disciples on how to live in the Kingdom of Heaven as a man on earth, how to please YeHoVaH through obedience to His Commands, how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and how to make disciples of the nations as He had discipled them. In preparation for this teaching, Disciple the Nations, please read Matthew 28:11-20.

The Resurrection

February 26, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 28:1–10

YeHoVaH demonstrated His Mighty Power in Yeshua’s life from the announcement of His birth, His early life in Egypt and Nazareth, protecting Him throughout His earthly Ministry, to the epic showdown between the Savior on the cross and satan which was on full display for the whole world to see. The worldly powers of King Herod, Pontius Pilate, the High Priest, the Sanhedrin, the religious leaders, nor the people were ever any match to the matchless power of YeHoVaH Almighty! Yeshua’s death on the cross as the King of the Jews and the Kingdom He brought to earth appeared to have come to an end as He breathed His last breath and declared “it is Finished”. Join us in the final Chapter of Matthew’s Gospel as all seemed to be lost as His disciples, who had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel, returned to normal life in despair and unbelief of what Yeshua had taught them about what would happen three days after His death. In preparation for the teaching, The Resurrection, please read Matthew 28:1-10.

The Savior and satan

February 19, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 27:45–66

The epic showdown between the Savior and satan that began at the birth of Yeshua comes into clearer focus in the closing Chapters of Matthew. When Yeshua was a toddler, satan used King Herod, who committed mass murder, hoping to have Yeshua murdered. This caused His parents to flee to Egypt for His protection. At the beginning of Yeshua’s earthly Ministry, He was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted of the devil who tried to convince Yeshua to commit suicide by jumping from the pinnacle of the Temple. Throughout His Ministry, satan used the religious leaders who plotted and made several attempts to have Yeshua murdered at the hand of the people. Join us in the final verses of this Chapter of Matthew as it looks as if satan has finally succeeded in His plot, using the religious leaders, rulers, elders, the people, and the Gentiles to put the Savior to death and end His Ministry. In preparation for this teaching, The Savior and satan, please read Matthew 27:45-66.
