Discerning the Times

October 8, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Luke 12:35–59

Yeshua’s interactions with His Disciples in the midst of the multitude addressed various Treasures of the Kingdom. While teaching His Disciples, He also addressed the multitude who listened to His teachings and transitioned to speak on the signs of the times. Yeshua touched on being watchful, service according to the Master’s will, giving an account, and Judgment.

In this portion of Luke’s Gospel, Yeshua gives additional insight on His advent and mission, making it clear what He came to do. Yeshua also shares the consequences of His coming, the family division that His teachings would bring, and the proper response to discerning the times.

In preparation for the teaching, Discerning the Times, please read Luke 12:35-59.

How do you smell? Minister Chequita Walker

July 1, 2023 • Chequita Walker • Hebrews 10

Prior to Yeshua Messiah being manifested in the flesh and becoming the perfect sin offering, YeHoVaH’s people offered Burnt Offerings to atone for their sins. This was done to show appreciation to YeHoVaH and to appease Him, whose wrath they feared. Burnt Offerings, when done in obedience to Father’s Commandments, were a sweet-smelling fragrance to YeHoVaH our Elohim.   It wasn’t just the act of the Burnt Offering or the actual smell of the Sacrifice itself, it was obedience to Father’s Commands. This was the act of love for Father and repentance for wrongdoings represented in the Burnt Offerings. Although the Burnt Offerings were done according to the Law, and a sweet-smelling fragrance to YeHoVaH, the same Sacrifices repeated year after year could never make one perfect. This teaching will address that even though we are no longer required to offer Burnt Offerings to atone for our sins, because Yeshua Messiah became the Sacrifice once and for all, YeHoVaH still requires His people to live a holy life, set apart, free of sin, and in obedience to all that He has commanded. This is an act or test of our faith which is like unto a sweet-smelling aroma that will reach the very Throne Room of Heaven. In preparation for the teaching, How do you smell?, please read Hebrews 10:1-39.

Fear, Unbelief and the Promise

April 29, 2023 • Arthur Bailey • Luke 24:36–53

Fear and unbelief in the life of Believers results in strange and unusual behaviors. Fear causes Believers to question what YeHoVaH has said and compels them to operate contrary to what has been instructed in YeHoVaH’s Word.   The Promise of YeHoVaH’s Gift was given to enable Believers to stand on YeHoVaH’s Word. When Believers stand on YeHoVaH’s Word, they are empowered by His Spirit to walk according to YeHoVaH’s Instructions in full confidence and faith.   In preparation for the teaching, Fear, Unbelief and the Promise, please read Luke 24:36-53.

Unbelieving Believers

April 15, 2023 • Arthur Bailey • Luke 24:11–35

Unbelief among Believers is as common today as it was in the days of Yeshua amongst many of His Disciples. There is a huge difference in following Yeshua, the Man, and obeying Yeshua, the Word made flesh. Believers are not just followers and hearers of the Word. True Believers are followers, hearers, and doers of the Word.   In this teaching, we will examine the unbelief of Yeshua’s Disciples and His response to their unbelief, His expectation of them, and keys to strengthen our belief and faith in Yeshua.   In preparation for the teaching, Unbelieving Believers, please read Luke 24:11-35.
