The Second Coming

Matthew 25:31-46

December 25, 2021 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 25:31–46

Alone with His disciples on the Mount of Olives, Yeshua begins to share the events surrounding His Second Coming. His disciples had asked Him to tell them, when shall these things be? What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world? The questions they asked Him were in response to the teachings He had done and His remarks about the destruction of the Temple. Yeshua had warned them about false messiahs, false prophets, those who would mislead many, and signs to look for that would herald the end of the age.

He had informed them that no one knew the day and the hour of His return and commanded them to always be prepared and ready. Yeshua used a parable about virgins and another parable concerning talents to emphasize the importance of His disciples being prepared, watchful, and doing what they had been instructed to do while they waited for His return.

Throughout His discourses with His disciples, Yeshua gave them glimpses of events surrounding His Second Coming. In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua reveals more details of the events that will occur at His Second Coming.

Disciple the Nations

March 5, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 28:11–20

The sins of the world made it impossible for there to be righteous fellowship between YeHoVaH and His creation. Redemption was about much more than simply saving man from his sins. Mankind had lost its way with no hope and no way to return to YeHoVaH in righteousness and fellowship with the Creator. YeHoVaH’s plan to redeem man and His creation providing a pathway back to Him had been put in play after the fall of man in the garden and materialized at the cross with Yeshua’s sacrifice for the sins of the world. In the final Chapter of Matthew’s Gospel, all seemed to be lost as Yeshua’s disciples, who had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel, returned to normal life in despair and unbelief of what Yeshua had taught them about what would happen three days after His death. Yeshua’s resurrected Life was committed to empowering His disciples on how to live in the Kingdom of Heaven as a man on earth, how to please YeHoVaH through obedience to His Commands, how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and how to make disciples of the nations as He had discipled them. In preparation for this teaching, Disciple the Nations, please read Matthew 28:11-20.

The Resurrection

February 26, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 28:1–10

YeHoVaH demonstrated His Mighty Power in Yeshua’s life from the announcement of His birth, His early life in Egypt and Nazareth, protecting Him throughout His earthly Ministry, to the epic showdown between the Savior on the cross and satan which was on full display for the whole world to see. The worldly powers of King Herod, Pontius Pilate, the High Priest, the Sanhedrin, the religious leaders, nor the people were ever any match to the matchless power of YeHoVaH Almighty! Yeshua’s death on the cross as the King of the Jews and the Kingdom He brought to earth appeared to have come to an end as He breathed His last breath and declared “it is Finished”. Join us in the final Chapter of Matthew’s Gospel as all seemed to be lost as His disciples, who had hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel, returned to normal life in despair and unbelief of what Yeshua had taught them about what would happen three days after His death. In preparation for the teaching, The Resurrection, please read Matthew 28:1-10.

The Savior and satan

February 19, 2022 • Arthur Bailey • Matthew 27:45–66

The epic showdown between the Savior and satan that began at the birth of Yeshua comes into clearer focus in the closing Chapters of Matthew. When Yeshua was a toddler, satan used King Herod, who committed mass murder, hoping to have Yeshua murdered. This caused His parents to flee to Egypt for His protection. At the beginning of Yeshua’s earthly Ministry, He was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted of the devil who tried to convince Yeshua to commit suicide by jumping from the pinnacle of the Temple. Throughout His Ministry, satan used the religious leaders who plotted and made several attempts to have Yeshua murdered at the hand of the people. Join us in the final verses of this Chapter of Matthew as it looks as if satan has finally succeeded in His plot, using the religious leaders, rulers, elders, the people, and the Gentiles to put the Savior to death and end His Ministry. In preparation for this teaching, The Savior and satan, please read Matthew 27:45-66.
