In this teaching, Arthur exposes the origins and spirit of Christmas. Christmas is singularly different from all of the other religious holidays because it is not one day, it is a season. We are continually confronted with Christmas for more than a month! Arthur investigates the pagan origins of Christmas; discusses what is and what is not in the Bible; describes the roles of Nimrod, Semiramis, and Tammuz in Christmas; reveals the symbolism of the Christmas tree, the wreaths and mistletoe; and thoroughly expounds on how we are trapped by the many lures of Christmas.

Whoredom and idolatry were major concerns of YeHoVaH for Israel. At Sinai, in the establishment of the Covenant relationship YeHoVaH made with Israel, YeHoVaH commanded Israel against idolatry and later warned them of what would cause Israel to fall into idolatry. In this portion of Numbers, Israel becomes the whore that they had been warned against and immediately faced the consequences of their actions.

Balak, Balaam, and the Israelites

Israel’s wilderness experience enters a new phase after their rebellion against YeHoVaH. Their rebellion was a response to the report of the ten spies. As they wandered in the wilderness, the Children of Israelwere totally unaware of two new adversaries, Balak and Balaam, and their nefarious attempts to destroy them.

YeHoVaH Fights for Us

YeHoVaH remained faithful to His promise to Abraham, delivering Israel from Egypt and punishing Egypt for enslaving them. He revealed a strategic plan to Moses, which led to Pharaoh’s army being defeated without Israel needing to fight—only to obey. This event demonstrates YeHoVaH’s power and commitment to protect and deliver His people, showing that He fights on behalf of those He has redeemed.
