Pastor Isaiah preaches from Acts 20 about lessons learned from Paul's ALL NIGHT sermon that put a young man to sleep who then feel out of a window! We pulled three main things from this chapter including: 1.   Solid teaching is always confirmed by powerful fruit. (although truth is truth....eventually lack of fruit catches up to knock teachers off course) 2.   Stop trying to rush away from long conversations. 3.   Pour into the people God has placed around you this school year because you don’t know when it will be your last chance.

Acts 12: Killed & Persecuted

December 4, 2022 • Pastor Isaiah Fern • Acts 12, Matthew 5:10–12

Website to Pray for Persecuted Christians Pastor Isaiah shares about the persecution the early church went through with the Apostle James being executed then Peter being imprisoned. He shares 3 main points: 1.   As the GOSPEL of Jesus spreads, so does the HATE of the people of Jesus. Three reasons why you will be persecuted as a Christian: a.    Your presence exposes darkness and sin. When people realize you don’t do the things they do because it’s wrong and you love differently, it makes them realize the darkness and sin they are living in. b.   Followers of Jesus stand up for righteousness and justice & this threatens people who benefit from taking advantage of people. c.    Followers of Jesus speak the truth, even when it’s not popular, and this makes people angry. 2.    Christians don’t stand by and do nothing when persecuted. 3.    The Gospel cannot be stopped by anything, even violence.

Pastor Isaiah introduces us to one of the most influential murderers turned Christians the world has ever known: Saul (Paul). We learn 3 main things from Acts 9: 1.  Some of us will never have our own story worth telling, but we might be a part of another story worth telling. 2.  You MUST separate yourself from your old life or you risk sliding backwards from your new life. 3.  When you give your life to Jesus, your present circumstances won’t change but your final destination will.
