Pura Vida is a United Methodist ministry to Guatemala primarily focusing on providing educational opportunities for children in rural villages through scholarships, tutoring, and support of local schools. This ministry encourages individuals and congregations to give their time, knowledge, and resources to help poor rural communities attain a standard of living in which their children can thrive.

Come to an introduction meeting on Sunday, May 18, at either 9 am or 11 am in the Chapel to hear more about their ministries, and how we can support educating children in Guatemala. Learn about their scholarship program and how Arvada UMC will support the education of several children in rural Guatemala this year. Hear about mission trip opportunities, where you can travel to Guatemala in November for an insight trip, in February 2026 for a work trip building homes, and in June 2026 to teach English to students.
