AT THE SOUTHERN END of the Jordan River, Sodom and Jericho were destroyed, Moses was buried, and Elijah was carried up to heaven in a whirlwind. It’s also where the prophet Ezekiel foresaw the destruction of the army of Gog of Magog.

Our video tour of Israel continues east of the Jordan this week as we show you what Moses saw, explain why God called Mount Nebo “this mountain of the Travelers,” and take you out into the desert of ancient Edom. It’s easy to see why the Israelites complained, looking at mostly sand and scrub for forty years!

Trumpets, Bowls, and Babylon

ARMAGEDDON IS preceded by the destruction of Babylon, an event that brings the world economic system to its knees. It may also be linked to a gruesome event described back in Revelation 14, where an angel first declares, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great,” and a few verses later the “harvest of the earth” results in blood “as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia (about 184 miles).” Is the destruction of Babylon part of the trampling of grapes in the winepress of the wrath of God? Possibly. The main takeaway this week is that the seals, trumpets, and bowls don’t necessarily follow sequentially, as we return to the destruction of Babylon in Revelation 18, the prelude to Armageddon.

Just after New Year’s Day, a grainy, long-distance video appeared to show an entity some 7 to 10 feet tall which some believe was responsible for dozens of Miami police units being called to the scene. It wasn’t a giant in Miami, but the spirits of the Nephilim are prophesied to take part in the battle of Armageddon.
