The police station in Sderot, a town in southern Israel half a mile from Gaza, was overrun by Hamas terrorists last October. Thirty people died, both civilians and police officers. The site has been razed and will be turned into a memorial for the fallen.

Scholars believe the mountain used for the scapegoat ritual described in Leviticus 16:6–10 is Jabal Munttar, overlooking the Dead Sea due east of Jerusalem. Explosive Device Found at Joshua's Altar

An improvised explosive device (IED) was found Friday wedged into the stones of Joshua's altar on Mount Ebal, near Nablus (ancient Shechem) in Israel. It was clearly intended to harm visitors as well as damaging the archaeological site. A bomb disposal unit of the Israel Police neutralized the device without incident, but this highlights the need for the IDF to secure Joshua's altar as this is not the first time attempts have been made to damage or destroy the site.
