The early church was called the ecclesia – a purposeful, powerful gathering of people united by common identity and purpose. This was the model of the early church – to come together, to learn, to praise, and to care for those in need. We continue to live that out as the modern church, especially when serving on mission trips. We are the Church. We are Serving Jesus by Serving Others. We share our gifts and support each other and those we’re serving.
