As followers of Jesus, we are exiles in this world. Yet, it can be easy to forget this fact and fall into earthly patterns of fear, confusion, and despair when facing trials. Peter's letter to the church helps us navigate living as exiles, reminding us that God gave us a new identity and a citizenship in heaven, and he helps us persevere as long as we live in this world. Our prayer is that this series equips us for our rapidly secularizing and increasingly hostile culture, trusting in God who will safely bring us home.
