Parents of 8th graders, now is the time to register your student for our 8th-grade confirmation retreat! It's a wonderfully fun and spiritually enriching retreat led by the Student Ministry Staff and High School Leadership team. We will rock climb, zip line, perhaps sing a little karaoke, and spend time worshipping God and growing in our faith. And other than Confirmation Sunday itself, this weekend is the culmination of your students' 3 year confirmation journey! All 8th-grade students are welcome to attend, including those who are not being confirmed, but the retreat is highly encouraged for those students who are being confirmed as we will be covering 50% of our curriculum. If your student is planning on being confirmed and cannot attend the retreat, they will have additional requirements and assignments to fulfill before being confirmed.
Refuge is our weekly gathering for 6th-12th grade students where we eat, play, worship & learn. Meets in the Rogers Center weekly. (NOTE: No Refuge on Ash Wednesday (2/18), Spring Break (3/11), Holy Week (4/1).)
At Christ Methodist, middle school students participate in a three-year (6th-8th grade) Confirmation process. It's a spiritual growth experience that marries theological instruction with practical spiritual formation training. The program will also incorporate leadership & discipleship opportunities for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
SNBS is a place for 6th-12th graders to grow deeper in their faith through video-based studies & conversations.
Join us as we celebrate our 8th-grade students on Confirmation Sunday during the 11:00 AM Contemporary service. After three years of intentional spiritual formation, these students will publicly affirm their faith and commitment to follow Christ. At Christ Methodist Church of Memphis, Confirmation is a three-year journey (6th–8th grade) that combines theological instruction with practical spiritual formation. Students grow in their understanding of Scripture, the church, and their personal faith, while learning what it means to live as disciples of Jesus. The process also creates opportunities for leadership and continued discipleship in high school. We invite you to join us in worship as we celebrate what God is doing in our students' lives.
