This CityRise Mission trip offers a unique and adventurous experience that takes participants deep into the heart of the Amazon region. The journey begins with a flight into Colombia, followed by an exciting and adventurous trip to Benjamin Constant, a remote area located on the border of Brazil, Colombia and Peru. This immersive mission not only provides the opportunity to engage with local communities but also offers a rare glimpse into life along the Amazon River.

Once in Benjamin Constant, we start by working with the local community, addressing immediate needs and building relationships. From there, the real adventure begins as we board a boat and travel further down the river, reaching remote Ticuna villages that are often only accessible by water. Along the way, we engage in a variety of impactful mission activities tailored to the needs of each community we visit.

One of the central focuses of this trip is conducting medical care to underserved communities, offering basic health services and support to those with limited or no access to healthcare and Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children in these villages. Through interactive lessons, games, crafts, and storytelling, we share the love of Christ in a way that resonates with the children and their families.

The mission also involves training and teaching local leaders, equipping them with the skills and resources needed to continue serving their communities long after our team has left. This could include skills development workshops, Bible teaching, and leadership training. Additionally, we engage in Bible distribution among the Ticuna people group, ensuring that the Word of God reaches the hands and hearts of people who may have never had access to it before.

This trip requires flexibility, adaptability, and a spirit of adventure as we navigate the logistical challenges and embrace the unique cultural experiences that come with traveling and working in such a remote area. It is a physically and spiritually enriching journey that offers participants the chance to serve in profound and life-changing ways, both for themselves and for the communities along the Amazon River. No air conditioning on the boat and we sleep in hammocks during our time on the river.
