On January 8, 1956, five men went missing on the Curaray River. Their mission to reach the Waodani tribe of Ecuador led them into uncharted territory where they sacrificed their lives to reach a people ruled by fear and revenge. Shadow of the Almighty follows the lives of Jim and Elizabeth Elliot, and Pete and Olive Fleming, as they follow the Lord to the mission field as young missionaries. Their story of love and commitment to each other and to the Lord is a tapestry of faith that reminds us that genuine faith doesn’t need all the answers, and that God can be trusted even in the darkest of times.
