To be able to leave your home after long periods of confinement can feel like a rebirth of sorts. This life-changing experience is made possible every time a new ramp is constructed at the door of someone who relies on a wheelchair for mobility. Every month or so, on a Saturday morning, Morning Star’s Ramp Team makes that dream come true.

The Ramp Team has been constructing ramps in the Las Cruces area for more than a decade and has been part of the NM Ramp Project since the very beginning of the Project. The dates and locations of the ramp are shared with the team a week or more before the build takes place. Preparations are made and pre-constructed modules are assembled on the Thursday before each ramp build.
