April D. Metzler is a Christian author and songwriter. She lives in the countryside of rural Oklahoma with her husband, Joseph, and daughter, Shelby.

Although adventures have led her elsewhere, she still calls Oklahoma home and doesn't stay gone for too long from the state she was born and raised in. Her aspirations include many things, but the one she pursues often is writing, whether it be through songwriting, her new book, blogging, poetry, devotionals, or the like.

Her aspirations began at a very young age. She has fostered the flame that burns to write for many years and desires to give honor to God through this gift of ministry He placed in her heart. April is active in church and volunteers whenever she can. Her primary focus has been in youth and music ministries, but she always enjoys helping with any community outreach opportunities.

She loves the Lord and has a heart for intercession, as well.

She petitions in prayer for those in need of comfort, those who struggle, those who have to endure through the toughest of circumstances and still come out on the other side, for those that do not have anyone to pray for them, and whatever/whoever else God places on her heart to intercede for.

She will be the first to tell you, "You are loved by God," when the rest of the world says you are not. She continually seeks to stay firmly rooted in her beliefs and aspires to set a firm example for her daughter through her daily walk. April draws from her walk with God to write no matter the platform.

She loves Him with all her heart - "even though I stumble, even if I fall, my God is with me wherever I go and He loves me... even in spite of me before I even knew Him! I love because He first loved me."
