To close out this series, we will talk about what Christians have historically believed happens after we die and at the end of everything. Spoiler alert: it may not be exactly what you were told as a kid. Because, as the Apostles’ Creed tells us, the life everlasting that Christianity promises comes with resurrected bodies. So, what does that mean? Why does it matter? And what does that have to do with the way we live today? Those are the questions this message is going to answer.
I Believe in the Holy Spirit
September 25, 2024 • 2 Corinthians 3:17–18
This message will continue walking through the Apostles’ Creed, focusing on the final section, discussing the Holy Spirit, the Church, the family of believers, and the forgiveness of sins.
I Believe in Jesus
September 18, 2024 • Matthew 16:13–16
For week two, your youth pastor is going to continue our journey through the Apostles’ Creed by looking at what these early Christians said about Jesus. When we understand the real Jesus, nothing makes more sense than devoting our entire lives to Him. Why? because He is God’s Son and our Lord, and He is humble and gentle at heart.
I Believe in God
September 11, 2024 • 1 Corinthians 15:1–2
We are kicking off our series by introducing our students to what Christians believe about God. This message will look a little bit different because instead of being a typical message, there will be breaks throughout it for discussion or reflection, depending on how your campus chooses to execute the night. The goal is to break up the teaching with intentional space to get students thinking. By the end, students will have learned what we mean when we talk about God, what He is like, and why it makes sense to believe in Him.

In this series, we will deconstruct the wrong ideas people have picked up regarding faith, following Jesus, and eternity. The Gospel has always been good news, but sadly, we can cut and paste it to the point that we end up with a flimsy faith. To rediscover the foundation of our faith, we will look at the Apostles’ Creed—a statement of belief put together by some of the earliest followers of Jesus before the Bible was fully assembled. We will find the materials to construct a lasting faith in the process.
