What is a Disciple Making Team (Part 1)
April 28, 2021 • Rebecca Ewing, Paul Watson
How do you reach an entire city? How do you get through the obstacles you'll inevitably run into as a disciple maker? What does it look like to mobilize people effectively? This is where a Disciple Making Team comes in. You may have heard of a Disciple Making Community (DMC) - a group that is learning how to be disciple makers in a community of others doing the same. While that's an excellent start, our ultimate goal is to turn those groups into Disciple Making Teams (DMT). The difference here is that a DMT is now starting other DMCs and is taking ownership of an area. Listen to this podcast to learn how you can start your own DMT to maximize your effectiveness!

Changing Your Church Culture (Part 1)
March 11, 2020 • Rebecca Ewing, Paul Watson
How do I get my church on board with disciple making movements? You may be leading your church but want something more than a traditional model. Today Michael Dorsett, pastor in Texas and CDM coached team member, joins us in explaining how he has been working to change his church culture to be movement-focused. This episode is for you if you are asking the question, "Why isn't my church community as excited about disciple making as I am?" In part 2, 3 Things Pastors Need to Know, we dive into the specifics of how pastors can change the culture of their church. Maybe it's time to reevaluate our definition of success. Is it about people walking into your church or people walking out of it to reach a broken world?
Why is it so Hard to Mobilize Others to Make Disciples (Part 1)
February 14, 2020 • Rebecca Ewing, Paul Watson
Has this ever happened to you? You discover something amazing and excitedly tell someone about it. Upon hearing it, they aren't nearly as enthusiastic as you'd hoped, leaving you wondering how anyone could possibly not see what you're seeing. A life of disciple making requires sacrifice. So it makes sense that people wouldn't be interested. Why is it so difficult to inspire and train others to become disciple makers? Today's CDM Podcast answers just that. Mobilization is similar to the Parable of the Soil. Some aren't interested, some initially click but quickly fade, others get distracted by life. There are a million reasons why someone wouldn't want to be inconvenienced, make sacrifices, put in hard daily work of obedience, or go against popular opinion. But the Great Commission isn't optional. We're all called to be involved.

September 25, 2019 • Rebecca Ewing, Paul Watson

Or we'll send someone across the world to Africa but won't go across our street. In this episode of the CDM Podcast, Paul Watson and Beck Ewing go into 3 sins we need to be repenting of and what we need to be returning to to be disciples who are worth multiplying. Have we missed the true call of a disciple amidst our cultural Christianity?
