To many, the Bible is merely a rule book, but Jesus takes God’s commands/law and expands on them showing us that He isn’t merely interested in His people following rules but, rather, He wants their hearts. When we move beyond rule following and embrace the intent of God’s commands, we realize that He give us His law so that we will flourish.

JESUS came to fulfill the law and showed what it meant for HIS people to live for HIS glory. In this passage HE addresses anger and lust, where they begin and what to do about them as people who want More JESUS. True Flourishing begins and never ends with JESUS.
