Looking to serve but don't have a lot of time? The Pittsburgh Mission Trip is a great way to get involved, with just three days of service. Even if you can't commit to all three days, just serve where you can. This year's Mission Trip will serve at Garfield Community Farm on Thursday, July 31st, where we'll be weeding, gardening and general cleanup as well as providing Community Event Support. Tools and gloves provided, but please bring water. We'll serve at Isaiah's Kitchen on Friday, August 1st, setting up tables and tents, breaking down pallets of food, packing, loading and delivering food, as well as cleanup. Lastly, we'll serve with Open Hand Ministries on Saturday August 2nd, doing basic construction (no tools or skills required), demolition and cleanup.
Appropriate ages for the various service opportunities:
Thursday- Elementary school age and older with parental guidance
Friday- Elementary school age and older with parental guidance
Saturday- middle school and older
As always, parents know their children best and can exercise judgement based on maturity.
