If I were to ask you, what is God? How would you go about answering that question? Martin Luther once challenged us saying that there was “a great difference between knowing that there is a God and knowing who He is and what He is like.” This Fall, we are going to lean into this challenge as we respond to the gracious invitation of God in the Psalms to “be still and know that I am God.” We are going to dive into God’s Word, specifically the stories of the Bible, as God reveals to us who He is so that we might truly know Him as He is, rather than how we would have Him to be. My hunch is that the more that the Holy Spirit opens our minds to who and what God is we will find that He is far greater than we could have ever imagined. As the Holy Spirit deepens our understanding of who God is, we will also explore what implications these things have for life as a follower of Jesus. This group meets every other Saturday. Doors open at 7:00 am for coffee, donuts and fellowship. Feel free to bring a friend or fellow member, all men are welcome. Contact Chuck with any questions.
