Most New Year’s resolutions are about self-improvement: “This year I’ll try harder, do better, become more.” That can be good—but it can also be exhausting, and it doesn’t always last.
We’re choosing a different kind of resolution: not a list, but a Person. Like Paul says, “I resolved to know nothing… except Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:2). Our hope for the year isn’t found in stronger willpower—it’s found in staying close to Jesus.
So we’re starting the year together in prayer, asking God to reset our hearts, renew our joy, and put Christ back at the center—because when Jesus is our resolution, everything else finds its right place.
