When God Turns Things Around

Whatever the enemy has hit you with get ready for Just the Opposite to Happen~

2 Cor. 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

God Knows How To Turn Things Around

Life is full of challenges,

obstacles, and situations

That seem impossible to overcome.

A Job Loss

A Rejection From Someone you really loved

A Sickness

A Bad Report

A Stumble

A Bad Decision

A Financial Loss

However, God specializes in turning things around.

Throughout Scripture,

we see instances where the expected outcome should have been

defeat,

destruction,’

or failure—

but just the opposite happened.

The enemy may have plans for harm,

but God’s power and favor always override them for those who trust Him…

Psalm 20:7

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,

but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

A Very Powerful verse in the the Scripture is Found In

Joseph have gone through one heartache after another~

Despite facing significant hardship,

including betrayal from his brothers,

false accusations, and imprisonment,

Joseph remained faithful to God and eventually rose to a second in command of all of Egypt.

Genesis 50:20

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

1 David and Goliath: The Underdog’s Victory

Col. 2:15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

The opposing powers that are strategizing against you have been disarmed by the authority you carry as a believer,

But you have to acknowledge and speak the power of God against those things that come against you to stay focused-

Though you may feel,

though you may look,

though you may even sadly act like the underdog,

1 John 4:4 says you’re not because greater he lives in you than he is in the world-

Imagine a high school football team going up against a professional NFL team.

By all human reasoning,

the weaker team should be crushed—but God’s favor makes all the difference.

Main Point:

David should have been defeated by Goliath—he was

Smaller, Younger

inexperienced,

and had no armor.

But just the opposite happened.

1 Samuel 17:45-47 –

"David said to the Philistine,

'You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty,

The God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head…

All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear

that the Lord saves;

for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.’”

This is a new day.

God is doing a new thing.

He’s about pay you back for what wasn’t fair.

He’s about to open doors you’ve never dreamed would open. The best part of your life is still in front of you.

His Confession was a VICtorious confession

You must speak to those opposing mountains

Zac 4:6 …‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.

Application:

No matter how big the obstacles in your life may seem, with God on your side, the battle is already won-

Romans 8:31-39

31 What then shall we say to these things?

If God is for us, who can be against us?

33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen,

who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

Shall tribulation,or

distress, or

persecution, or

famine, or

nakedness, or

peril, or sword?”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 The Fiery Furnace: Victory in the Fire

Is. 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Main Point:

The three Hebrew teenagers should have burned in the fire, but just the opposite happened.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

REFUSED TO COMPROMISE`

They wouldn’t bow to an image idol of King Nebuchadnezzar~

The Penitently would be Burned alive~

But They Stood for their God and said God is able to spare us from the fire if He wishes~

But We Wont Bow!

And sure enough they were caught not bowing to the current anti God system and chose to stand for Gods Word~

The devil, the World is at war with God and they call good evil and evil good~

We NEVer bow to another human under any circumstance~

God said in His word~

Joshua 1;8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

THEY REFUSED TO BOW TO THE CURRENT WORLDS WAY OF THINKING~

AND Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego~ WHERE THROWN INTO THE FIRE ~

Daniel 3:24-27 (NIV) –

"Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, ‘Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?’

They replied, ‘Certainly, Your Majesty.’

He said, ‘Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of GOD

So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire, and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them.

They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them."

A firefighter who goes into a burning building without protective gear will come out covered in smoke and soot.

But these men didn’t even smell like fire because God was with them!

Application:

Even in the fires of life,

God will stand with you and bring you out unharmed.

Psalm 91:7-16. A thousand may fall at your side,

And ten thousand at your right hand;

But it shall not come near you.

8 Only with your eyes shall you look,

And see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,

Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

10 No evil shall befall you,

Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,

To keep you in all your ways.

12 In their hands they shall [a]bear you up,

Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.

3 Paul and the Snake Bite:

Defying the Odds

Paul was headed to Rome To stand and to Testify to Caesar To tell him of JESUS

There was a huge storm and Paul in the mist of the storm told the Captain and the Roman Guards of the ship that it would be destroyed but their lives would be saved~ sure enough the Ship sank but all the people were saved and washed to shore~

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Acts 28:3-5 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.”

5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.

Paul should have died when a poisonous snake bit him, but just the opposite happened~

If a doctor tells you that you have a terminal illness, the world might say, "It's over."

But God says, "I have the final say!”

Application:

When the enemy tries to harm you,

shake it off and trust that God will protect and heal you.

Paul Had TO Shake the serpent off and THROW It into the FIRE~

Heb. 12;28Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29For our God is a consuming fire.

YOU HAVE TO THROW DOUBT, EVERYTHING That is contrary to the Word Of God into the Fire~

Let God Consume it!

Mark 11:24 Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”

4 Moses’ Redemption: A New Beginning After Failure

Psalm 37:24 Though you fall, you shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds you with His hand.

Moses Was called by God to deliver the Jews from Egyptian Slavery~

Through a series of not waiting on God He rushed in an killed an Egyptian and ending up fleeing to the Desert~

Main Point:

Moses should have been stuck in the desert after his mistake, but just the opposite happened.

For though a righteous man may fall seven times, he still gets up; but the wicked stumble in bad times.

Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

God Said~ So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

With God, the comeback is always greater than the setback.

Application:

No mistake is too great for God to redeem. He can turn failures into a fresh start.

Conclusion: God Can Turn It Around for You!

No matter how impossible your situation looks, God has the power to reverse it.

What was meant to defeat you can be the very thing that elevates you.

Trust in God’s plan, and believe that "just the opposite" will happen in your life.

Romans 8:28 (NIV) – "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Final Thought:

Instead of expecting defeat,

expect a turnaround.

Instead of dwelling on what should have happened,

look forward to what God is about to do.

God is still in the business of turning things around
