Surviving the Holidays: GriefShare Seminar

COS will be starting a new section of GriefShare on Mondays from 6:30-8pm starting on Jan 12 in the youth room. A 13-week GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Large Print Ministry Event!

COS is starting a new Large Print ministry connected with Lutheran Braille Workers. Our planning team has been faithfully working behind the scenes to get ready for the dedication of this ministry on the weekend of Mar 13-15. Schedule: Friday, March 13 (Team only)- 2pm Saturday, March 14 Training times: 9am; 10:45am; 1:30pm & 3:15pm. Sunday, March 15 the installation will be during both services and open house at 9:45 am. WOW/LWML Bake Sale

Bake sale is coming up on March 29th! Our Bake Sale will be held following both services. We know there are many talented bakers at COS! Donations of homemade pies, cookies, cakes, breads, and muffins are appreciated. Please label all items, especially noting if items have nuts, are sugar-free or are gluten-free. Package baked goods in disposable containers and bring them to the church kitchen or lounge on Sat, Mar 28, from 11am to 2pm. All women of COS are members of LWML and WOW. Come join us at our monthly meetings. We look forward to meeting you! We also need volunteers! Donation/volunteer forms are at the Welcome Desk.

Easter Fair with Egg Hunt

Families are invited to join us for our Easter Fair on Saturday, April 4, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon! Enjoy Easter crafts, activities, and a joyful Easter Egg Hunt throughout the church. The fair will take place in the gym hallway, and the egg hunt will be held in most areas of the church. There is no cost and no need to pre‑register. An adult must accompany child(ren). Invite your friends and come celebrate our Risen Lord with us!

Forever Young: The Detroit Institute of Arts

April 16, 2026 from 12:15 - 3:00pm EDT

FREE Unlimited General Admission and bus transportation (25 person minimum required). Pick-up and departure from Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. Sign-up sheet is in the Narthex near the Welcome Desk. 1-3pm self-guided visit. 3pm departure from DIA to COS. Early-Bird Opportunity: Join us at COS at 11am for an early lunch (bring your own) and enjoy a Forever Young visual presentation that highlights how artists since the Renaissance have enriched our Faith with their creative expressions of Scriptural events and themes.

2026 Women's Retreat: What Time is It?

Christ Our Savior Women's retreat will take place Sat, Apr 25 from 9 to 3p.m. A walk-through Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. We will talk about time in the Bible and times currently in your life. The speaker is Kaye Dumas Wolff, a retired information and technology professional who has dedicated much of her tremendous volunteer service to The LCMS ministries and initiative that serve minority groups. Registration forms and a sign-up sheet are at the Welcome Desk. Registration is $25 and the in-gathering will be a monetary donation for the Deaf Ministry Outreach Program.

Forever Young: The Songs of America

May 29, 2026 from 9:00am - 1:00pm EDT

Join the Forever Young group for a patriotic concert by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on Friday, May 29. The theme is “Songs of America” a great way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday! A bus will leave COS at 9am for downtown Detroit. Payment of $72/person will cover your concert ticket and bus ride. There are 55 seats available on a first come, first served basis. Bring your own donuts, coffee provided at DSO! Make checks out Christ Our Savior, with Forever Young on notation line; place in Forever Young envelope at Welcome Desk, then place in Linda Waara’s mailbox. Thank you!!
