Bethesda Baptist Church and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary are partnering to offer the GO Certificate in Small Group Leadership. 

This GO Certificate offers four foundational courses that equip small group leaders, church leadership, ministry volunteers, and church members to be more effective in fulfilling their ministry to make disciples within the local church and within the community. 

The four courses include Old Testament Overview, New Testament Overview, Christian Doctrine, and Teaching for Transformation. Each session is taught by SEBTS faculty and consists of twelve, 20-minute video lectures. 

There are two options for completing this GO Certificate:

Self-paced option. You register for the GO Certificate and complete the courses at your own pace and on your own schedule. 

Cohort-based option. This option allows you to journey through the courses with others following an established class schedule. The Cohort will meet at the beginning and ending of each course. The 5 scheduled Cohort sessions allow participants the opportunity to reflect, discuss and apply what they have learned. In between Cohort sessions, participants will complete the video sessions for each course at home. The Cohort will begin on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and all participants will complete the GO Certificate program on Saturday, December 6, 2025. 

The cost of the entire program is $100/person.

Once we receive your registration, you will receive an email from Pastor Brandon with all the details you need to get started. This email will include a link to SEBTS exclusive to those participating through Bethesda Baptist Church. Each participant must use this link to register with and pay SEBTS for the GO Certificate program. Particiants DO NOT pay Bethesda Baptist Church. Once this step is completed with SEBTS, you will have access to all the course videos and materials for the certificate.
