We are seizing an opportunity to highlight and honor artists in our church and community. On Sunday, March 16, 23 & 30, we will embrace art as an expression of love for our Lord and Savior in the Garden Room between services.
Wendy Guske will be on hand between services to share about her passion for art and the Lord, and how she expresses her love for God through her art. In addition to her works, you will also be able to view paintings by her students.
About the Artist:
Wendy Guske is a seasoned painter who was born in Seattle, WA. She has been creating art for over 50 years and has studied at some of the most prestigious art schools in the country, including Seattle Pacific University, The Fashion Institute of Technology, and Evolve Art Academy with Kevin Murphy.
She attributes her gift as an artist to God. As she works, she begins with prayer, that God may touch her hands and bring to life the image she is creating. Wendy is a versatile artist who works in a variety of mediums, including glass, oil on canvas, watercolor, airbrush, and oil pastel.
Her paintings are known for their use of light and color, and she often paints scenes of nature such as landscapes and flowers. She is also known for her portraits and figurative paintings, which capture human form in a realistic way.
Along with her own art, Wendy is bringing with her works from two students, Cathy Campbell and Olivia Taylor. Please take a moment to appreciate the works they have been called to create.
