Power Down: A Weekend of Rest and Renewal
Join Pastor Chris, retreat co-leader, and Andy Hoffert, retreat worship leader, for a weekend designed to help you unplug, slow down, and reconnect with God and one another.
In a world that demands we stay constantly connected, “on,” and available, the greatest act of strength isn’t doing more—it’s having the courage to stop.
This year’s men’s retreat, Power Down, is an invitation to silence the noise and step away from the digital grind. We’re heading to Pocono Plateau to trade screen time for campfire time and notification pings for meaningful time in community with each other.
Our theme is rooted in the words of Jesus to his disciples:
“Then Jesus said, ‘Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.’” — Mark 6:31
What to Expect:
- Unplugged Environment: A chance to physically and mentally disconnect from the pressures of work, home life, and technology.
- True Fellowship: Real conversations with men navigating different seasons of life.
- Spiritual Recharging: Focused sessions designed to help us slow down, listen, and become more attentive to God in the midst of daily life.
- Outdoor Adventure: Plenty of space for hiking, recreation, campfires, and simply enjoying the stillness of the woods—with plenty of free time built into the weekend.
Sometimes, to move forward with purpose, you first have to Power Down.
Registration: All attendees must register directly with Pocono Plateau in order to attend the retreat.
