Our Caregiver support group provides a safe haven for the family caregiver. They can find some relief from isolation, a safe space to share their caregiver experiences, and express the difficult emotions that accompany their caregiving role.
Anyone that has been, or is a caregiver knows how important it is to have a group of people that will be there to support them, listen to them and to give advice or just to share their experiences with each other. This also may be helpful to those who will find themselves as caregivers sooner than later.
We see a need for these kind of groups as our community ages. There are not just caregivers to the elderly. We have the disabled, the husband that is taking care of a sick wife, or the wife caring for the husband and then, there are those who are taking care of a sick child. Our health care professionals are also day to day caregivers to our community. We hope you can find the time to join us and let us be that safe place to talk, relax and unwind for a little bit.
