Teaching Series: “God Our Father” (Knowing God As Your Father)
Purpose: The purpose of this series is to establish the true character and nature of God our Father in our lives.
Main Scripture: John 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? NKJV
Teaching Description: How can we trust someone that we do not know? Our relationship with God is based on trust and trust can only be established by knowing the character of the one we are putting our trust in. There are a lot of opinions that have been formed and shared about who God is. We are aware that this happens in the world and in the church. We have an enemy who loves to distort the image and character of God, he has been doing this since the garden of Eden (2 Cor. 11:3), and he continues with this same scheme today. The Lord being gracious and loving and understanding fully the nature of satan and his work here on earth made sure to reveal His character to us in the most reliable way possible, He sent His son as His witness to all of humanity. In this series of teachings, we are going to look to Jesus to discover and reinforce our faith concerning the nature and character of God our Father. Jesus said in John 14:9…………………..He who has seen Me has seen the Father.
