Parent Equipping Gathering- Righteous Brood: Making the Mission of God a Family Story
February 22, 2025 from 9:00 - 11:00am EST
IS OUR GOAL TO RAISE RELIGIOUS KIDS, OR ARE WE HOPING FOR SOMETHING MORE?
Kids are growing up in a mass church exodus. A life attending church and following religious rules isn’t big enough to hold their attention—and why should it be? Do we want our kids to just go to church, or do we want them to truly follow Jesus? As Christian parents, most of us long for our children to know the God who loves them and who is able to work powerfully in their lives and in the lives of those around them.
This class is based off of missional leader and father Hugh Halter’s book, Righteous Brood. He invites your family to live a bigger story—a story with the mission of God at its heart. With key tools and practical advice gleaned from Hugh’s own parenting journey, this book equips parents at all stages—and with all kinds of challenges—to nurture disciples of Jesus who live out his mission in the world.
This equipping class is open to parents with kids of all ages. Whether you are currently expecting or if you have high school kids, you are invited to attend. Sign up is required and space is limited to ensure childcare, so sign up early. Please feel free to invite friends, family, and others who would like to come.
Reading the book, Righteous Brood is not a requirement to attend. We do encourage you to read it individually or within a small group of friends after our class to continue the discussion.
The book can be found on Amazon or is available on Hoopla for free.
