Godspeed Bible Study meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Hughes Hall and is led by our summer intern, Chapman Canlis. “Godspeed” is a short documentary film made by Chapman’s father (now an Anglican Priest) about the family’s time living in the tiny parishes of Scotland. It’s about the importance of slowing down, learning names, and going face-to-face with your neighbor and thereby also your God. You can watch the documentary here.

Our goal is to slow down, to go face-to-face with the Gospel stories, and to really “come and see” Jesus in his first-century context. We will try to imagine we’re movie directors, and then ask two questions - "What do we see?" "What happens next?" - and try to picture these black and white words made flesh once again.
