Bishop Sue and the cabinet have appointed our associate pastor, Peter Kwon, to become senior pastor of Macedonia UMC in White Post, Virginia (about ten miles north of Front Royal). This new stage in Peter’s journey will allow him to take the lead in guiding a congregation in the way of the Lord, and is an exciting step forward in his ministry.

Peter joined Annandale UMC as our Associate Pastor in 2017, rapidly sharing in preaching responsibilities and helping to grow our new Praise Band. In 2018, he took on leadership of our youth ministries, and has supported students as they grow in love of Christ and each other through weekly Youth Nights and a variety of annual events since. Although we’re all going to miss him, we wish him well as he moves forward in his life as a pastor.

There will be a party celebrating Peter after worship on his final day, June 14. We hope you will all join us in Wright Hall from 12:30 to 2 p.m. as we eat lunch together and give our well wishes for a wonderful future at Macedonia UMC.
