For our next Adult Fellowship ​‌meeting​‌ on Wednesday, Feb. 19, we will meet at the church at noon and carpool to Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center (10209 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22031). This free museum is located in a historic two-story brick schoolhouse built in 1873 and displays the arc of Fairfax’s history, from Native American cultures to our local astronaut who orbited the earth aboard three Space Shuttle missions. There is also a traveling exhibit on Frederick Douglass, exploring his escape from slavery, work as an abolitionist, and tireless fight for equality for all individuals in the Jim Crow era.
