Hi Parents of Westwood Church 2nd-5th graders!

If you are considering Inspiration Hills Camp for your child this summer, registrations are now open!

Last year, camps filled up quickly, so give it some thought soon.

While there are many good camps out there, we believe that Inspiration Hills Camp in Inwood, IA (affiliated with our denomination, RCA) is an excellent choice, therefore we choose a date for our kids to go to camp together (parents drive, we help organize a carpool).

• Westwood kids entering 3rd or 4th grade (fall of 2025) who would like a short first-time camp experience this summer will go June 30-July 2. This is the Discovery Camp #1.

• Kids entering 4th-6th grade (fall of 2025) who would like to attend the week-long Lodge, Wilderness or Saddle Up Camp will go June 9-13. Choose Lodge #1 or Wilderness #1 or Saddle Up 1A. You can read about the differences online.

• You must register online at www.inspirationhills.org. The sooner the better, as camps do fill up. When they're full, you're out of luck. :( Prices also go up after April 15th.

• Westwood Church will now provide $100 per camper! Watch for the blank on the registration form that says "Amount Church is Paying" or “Church Contribution,” and fill in $100.

• After you register, email Michelle (michelle@westwoodchurch.net) to let her know. She will then send in the $100 for your camper, and add you to an email list for carpool information (we’ll make carpool decisions as we get closer).

Parents are responsible to get kids to and from camp. Michelle helps organize a carpool among the parents, so don’t forget to let Michelle know when you sign your child up for camp, so she knows to keep you in the carpooling loop!

Need to make some money to reimburse yourself the cost of camp? There will be an optional Butter Braid fundraiser (February 26-March 12) to help cover your costs. Westwood folks LOVE Butter Braid pastries and would love to buy them from you - just make yourself available! You make $5.50-$6.00 per Butter Braid sold. Want to sell? Pick up a form February 26th from the Welcome Center counter and start selling! Forms and money are due March 12th. Delivery of product is March 26th at 5:30pm. You must pick up any Butter Braids sold between 5:45 and 6:15pm on March 26th. The money you make from the sale will be paid directly to you with a check from Westwood Church.
