26 - Limited Liberty vs. Flagrant Freedom

1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

October 3, 2021 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann • 1 Corinthians 10:23—11:1

Christ did not set us free from the Law of Moses so that we could live lawlessly and do whatever we want, whenever we want, and however we want and in such a way that it violates the morality and precepts of Scripture. Rather, Christ set us free so that we could freely do whatever God wants us to do, whenever He wants us to do it, and however He wants us to do it. In 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1, Paul explains that believers (in every generation) must understand three things about Christian freedom if they are to glorify God in everything do. We must understand (1) the PRINCIPLES for using Christian freedom; (2) the PURPOSE of Christian freedom; and (3) the PATTERN of Christian freedom, each of which Paul expounds in great detail upon.
