Clean out your closets and gather bags of food for a good cause!

West Side Community Church is hosting a food and clothes drive to benefit Leelanau Christian Neighbors. Leelanau Christian Neighbors operates 5 programs being: A Food Pantry, Baby Pantry, Neighborhood Assistance Ministry (financial assistance) and Blessings in a Backpack along with a resale store called Samaritans' Closet. All programs are located in Lake Leelanau on the LCN campus.

Clothes donations will help supply the resale store which ultimately supports the other 4 programs as well.

Food donations will benefit their food pantry which currently sees approximately 125 families each week. Some items they see in greatest demand at the pantry are canned chicken and tuna fish as well as feminine hygiene products like tampons (cardboard applicator), pads and toothpaste. But really any donation of food will be greatly appreciated. If you love it so will our neighbors! Be sure to check for expiration dates on any food items donated from home, as LCN cannot distribute foods that have expired.

West Side will have a LCN truck parked near our entrance Sunday morning, May 19th from 8:30am - 11am (before services). Please hold any donations until then. Monetary donations are also welcome (checks made out to LCN) as Leelanau Christian Neighbors are able to shop for many items wholesale.
