The 3 Stages of Sanctification

God’s call of transformation addresses us all. We call this the gospel. We have been given the opportunity to repent of sins and trust Jesus for salvation. We call this conversion. This is where God imparts to us new life. We call this regeneration. Through Christ God has given us the opportunity to have right legal standing before him. We call this justification. In this, God makes us members of His family. We call this adoption.

But what is sanctification? Sanctification is the progressive work of God and of man that makes us more and more free from sin and more and more like Christ in our daily lives. It’s a process. Let’s trust the process!

FCC’s Strategy to Grow in Likeness to Christ

This week we will be wrapping up the series by looking at FCC's strategy for encouraging people's involvement in this process of becoming Godly in character and action!

God and Man Cooperate in Sanctification

Sanctification is the central overarching theme of the Bible from beginning to end. As God’s people, it's of ultimate importance that we know what it is and how it works. So, what is sanctification? In the simplest of definitions - it is the process of being made or becoming holy. This Sunday we look at both the passive and active parts of the process. We will see how it is both happening to us by God's progressive work and how we are actively responsible for doing our part to become holy. Let’s trust the process!
